One of the best ways to teach children proper nutrition is to teach them how to cook their own food. Most culinary artists will tell you that they’ve been cooking in the kitchen since 3 or 4 years old.
If you don’t know where to start, then pick something simple that you’d like your child to be able to make independently like a grilled cheese sandwich. First thing is to teach your child(ren) kitchen safety including knives, fire, fire extinguisher, and all cooking equipment. Next is finding the foods you want to teach them to cook. Or maybe you’re learning to cook new foods together! That’s a great way to spend quality time with your child(ren) while teaching them necessary life skills.
